BTYPE Commercial Licence (EULA)

Introduction

This Commercial Licence is designed to be simple, fair and easy to understand.

Rather than separate licences for different uses, one Commercial Licence covers most standard commercial work, including branding, logos, print, websites, social media, advertising, packaging, video and apps. Pricing is based on the size of your company at the time of purchase—not the number of people using the font.

Choose the licence that matches your company's size when purchasing the font. If your company grows in the future, licences you've already purchased remain valid.

The aim is simple: spend less time thinking about licensing and more time making great work.

By purchasing, downloading, installing or using a BTYPE font, you agree to the terms below.

Summary

  • Existing licences remain valid if your company grows in the future.

  • A Commercial Licence covers branding, logos, print, websites, social media, advertising, packaging, video, apps and other standard commercial design work.

  • If you're purchasing a Commercial Licence for your own business, choose the licence that reflects your company's size. If you're purchasing a licence on behalf of a client, choose the licence that reflects the client's company size.

  • You may not redistribute, resell or modify the font software.

What You Can Do

A Commercial Licence allows you to use BTYPE fonts for:

  • Branding and visual identity
  • Logos
  • Print and editorial design
  • Packaging
  • Websites
  • Social media
  • Advertising
  • Video and motion graphics
  • Apps
  • Presentations and PDFs
  • Signage
  • Merchandise and products

You may install the fonts on devices owned by your business and use them throughout your organisation.

What You Can't Do

You may not:

  • Share, sell, lend, rent or redistribute the font files.
  • Upload the font files where they can be accessed by unlicensed users.
  • Modify the font software to create another typeface.
  • Claim ownership of the fonts or any part of them.
  • Use desktop font files (such as OTF files) on websites or servers where they can be accessed or downloaded by unlicensed users.
  • Use the font files in any way that allows people outside your organisation to access or use the fonts without a separate custom licence.

Custom Licensing

If your intended use falls outside this Commercial Licence, including software embedding, online design platforms or template products, please get in touch to discuss a custom licence.

Ownership

Purchasing a licence does not transfer ownership of the fonts.

All copyright and intellectual property rights remain the property of BTYPE.

This licence grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the fonts in accordance with these terms.

Warranty & Liability

The fonts are supplied "as is". While every effort has been made to ensure they function correctly, BTYPE makes no warranty that the fonts will be free from errors or suitable for every purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BTYPE shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the fonts. BTYPE's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the licence.
